Announcing DrupalCamp Twin Cities

The Twin Cities Minnesota Drupal community is excited to announce our very first DrupalCamp Twin Cities on May 20-21, 2011. This two-day Camp will be the culminating event in a Drupaltastic week that will also include Drupal usability testing at the University of Minnesota UX labs and a one-day pre-camp training event that will be free for camp registrants. Having learned quite a bit from other Drupal camp organizers, the Twin Cities Drupal community is making this camp a true community effort. Join us!

Highlights to include:

  • Angie "Webchick" Byron keynote
  • DrupalUX team presentation previewing the results of their usability lab testing earlier in the week at the University of Minnesota
  • Free Drupal in a Day training workshop for camp registrants the day before the camp begins courtesy of Chapter 3
  • Sessions divided into topical tracks for variety of skill and interest levels presented by experienced Drupal experts from around the country
  • Evening social events

This camp is an effort on our part to grow the Drupal community both in quantity and quality. We'd like to invite anyone interested in supporting this effort to join us. Visit the camp site, for details and to register, submit a session or sponsor.

Presenters, attendees and sponsors hailing from all around the country have already committed. In fact, registration eclipsed 100 in just the first two weeks. Advantage Labs is proud to be teaming up with our local Drupal colleagues Gorton Studios, University of Minnesota Libraries and Minnesota Public Radio as well as national partners Acquia as Platinum sponsors of what will be an extraordinary Drupal camp experience.

Special thanks go out to the COD distribution team for providing us with the tools to create the camp site, the Drupal Association for fiscal sponsorship, the Twin Cities Drupal Community for all its hard work pulling this together and, of course, to our DrupalCamp Twin Cities sponsors.

We hope to see you in the Twin Cities in May.
